Kanawa Education Foundation for Disabled through sightsavers inclusion has trained 40 Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) staffs on mastering the Basics compliance on UNCRPD and SDGs.
This statement was made available to our correspondence by the vice Chairperson of the foundation, Malama Hussaina on Friday 5th March 2021.
According to her, the training was aimed at exposing staffs of the centre on the rights of persons with disabilities whose expectations were to carry everyone along.
She stated that the training was pivotal to ensuring the centre adjusts and make modifications on their training in such a way that would make it more inclusive, accessible and training-friendly to PWDs in areas of tools, environment, and language usage.
She added that the training which was facilitated by legal adviser Barrister Zahraddin M. Bello was to be executed in total compliance with UNCRPD and SDGs standard.
Adding further, the Vice president also stressed the need to bridge the communication gap between PWDs and other people all over, such that we should be financially independence.
“We want a just world without exclusion” she said.
