The Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) has, on a recent advocacy visit to the National Agricultural Research Institute, called for better Inclusion and Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria.
The information was revealed in a statement made available to our correspondent on Thursday.
According to the statement, discussions during the visit included modalities geared towards inclusion of Persons with Disabilities and how they can be carried along in strategic development plans in the Agricultural Sector.
The statement read in part: “The Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons with Disabilities, Mr James Lalu, on the 16th of February, 2021, in his continuous quest to ensure total Inclusion and accessibility for Pwds in Nigeria, paid a visit to the Executive Secretary, National Agricultural Research Institute , Prof. Garba Hamidu Sharubutu, to discuss modalities geared towards inclusion of Persons with Disabilities and how they can be carried along in the Agricultural Sector’s strategic development plan.
