KADUNA, The Zamfara State Ministry of Budget and Planning, in collaboration with the Zamfara State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER), has commenced a two-day workshop to review the state’s Persons with Disabilities Implementation Framework and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Plan.
The workshop, taking place from August 27 to 28 at Bafra International Hotel in Kaduna, brings together key government officials and stakeholders to assess and strengthen the framework guiding the implementation of disability-inclusive policies and programmes across Zamfara State.
Leading the delegation from the Zamfara State Persons with Disabilities Board (ZSPwDB) is its Executive Chairman, Usman Ahmed Nahuche. Other participants include representatives of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, the Deputy Clerk (Legislative Matters), officials from the Ministry of Budget and Planning, the Ministry of Health, the Directorate of Social Welfare, the Social Protection Coordination Office, and other relevant stakeholders.
The review is expected to enhance the state’s technical capacity for monitoring and evaluating disability-related interventions, while improving coordination and ensuring the effective implementation of policies aimed at promoting the rights, inclusion and welfare of persons with disabilities in Zamfara State.
