The Isaac Sewanu Educational Foundation, in collaboration with Smart Innovation Hub took a noveau approach to this year’s Valentine Day celebration by putting smiles on the faces of students with disabilities in a couple of schools in Badagry axis.
The beneficiaries, students of L.A Primary School, Ajara and the Methodist Junior/Senior High School, Badagry, received educational materials.
Over fifty (50) school bags and socks were distributed to the children.

Speaking to Inclusive News Network in an interview after the event, Executive Director, Isaac Sewanu Educational Foundation, Mr Sewanu J. Isaac said the organization has discovered that students with disabilities are being neglected by society, and very few people celebrate them, especially in Badagry.
He went on to reveal: “At ISEF we have decided to always stand with special students. For last year’s United Nations International Day of Education, we were at special schools in Badagry where we distributed writing materials to the students.
Stating the Foundation’s motivation, Mr Sewanu remarks: “We just thought of doing something special on a special day for special students.”
ISEF, according to the Executive Director, is a non-profit making organization whose aims and objectives are majorly on education.

The organization had in 2022 organized a disability outreach intended to put smiles on the faces of students with disabilities while entrenching in their minds their importance to the community. “This year, we decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day with them.” He said.
Mr Sewanu further noted that the organization has made it their priority to always visit special students. According to him: “their smile is our priority.”
“I want them to know that they are special students with special abilities. God created them specially. They shouldn’t look down on themselves. They can make it in life.
“By the special grace of God, we will never neglect them. We love them dearly. “ He concluded.
