TAF Africa takes step to ensure inclusive environment

TAF Africa, a leading advocate for disability inclusion in Nigeria, has announced the organisation’s new brand identity, focused on creating a more accessible and inclusive environment for persons with disabilities.

The Chairman TAF Africa Board of Trustee, Prof Vincent Anigbogu, told journalists during a news conference in Abuja, that the rebranding initiative was to increase awareness about the organization’s activities beyond the community of Persons With Albinism (PWA).

He explained that: “The rebranding initiative includes; a new logo, website and social media presence that incorporates the organization’s name and a visual representation of the various disability clusters”.

On his part Founder of TAF Africa, Jake Ekpelle, urged policymakers and other stakeholders to promote disability inclusion. “We are also pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to our board of trustees”.

“These individuals bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and gender balance to our organization and will help us to advance our mission and vision, to creating a society that is more inclusive and equitable for all.” Jake added.

The three new board members includes; Dr. Toyin Aderemi- Balogun, an experienced disability-inclusive development practitioner and researcher.

Others are Hajiya Amina Zakari, a disability rights advocate and a former Acting Chairman of the INEC Planning Monitoring and Strategy Committee effective November 2014.
