The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Mohammed Abba Isa, has paid an official visit to Katsina State as part of ongoing efforts to promote inclusion and equal opportunities for persons with special needs in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
During the visit, the presidential aide held a strategic meeting with the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, where discussions centered on key issues affecting persons with special needs, including the urgent need for the signing of the Katsina State Disability Bill. Mohammed Abba Isa expressed satisfaction with the Governor’s reaffirmed commitment to ensuring the bill receives assent.
He was accompanied by a delegation of stakeholders, including the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters, Lt. Usman Hudu (Rtd), Hon. Ya’u Rufa’i Zakka, Comrade Adam Magaji, Hon. Abubakar Aliyu Galadunchi, Hon. Isah Miqdad Ad Saude, Comrade Nasir Dauda, Comrade Dahiru Gambo, APC Zonal Leader for Persons with Disabilities in the North-West, Hajjara Shuaibu, and others.
The presidential aide also met with the First Lady of Katsina State, Hajiya Zulaihat Dikko Umar Radda, and the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar. He commended the Governor’s commitment to inclusive governance and lauded the First Lady’s readiness to collaborate in advancing disability inclusion initiatives across the state.
In a show of empathy, Mohammed Abba Isa extended his condolences to Governor Radda on the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safar’u Barebari, and expressed solidarity with the people of Katsina State and the wider Northern region affected by insecurity.
A major highlight of the visit was his attendance at the maiden edition of the Governor Dikko Umar Radda Para Games School Competition, where he witnessed the resilience and talents of students from special schools, describing the event as a strong demonstration of inclusion in action.
