The Board Chairman, Kogi State Office for Disability Affairs (KOSODA), Hon. Ibrahim Daniel Arome has congratulated Muslim faithfuls in the State and Nigeria at large as they celebrate Ramadan today.
Hon Arome in an interview with Inclusive News Network in Lokoja, the State capital seized the occasion to admonish Muslims to emulate the life of Prophet Muhammad.
Arome called on Muslim faithfuls to extend true love to Persons with Disabilities and others who are less privileged as that is the essence of Islam.
He also sent a strong message to those who take advantage of Persons with Disabilities for personal gain to desist from such.
He described such acts as licence to incur the wrath of the Creator and an invitation to disability.
On the issue of discrimination, the Chairman appealed to Government, corporate bodies and private individuals to avoid act of discrimination during and after the celebration.
Arome called on the Jama’atu Nasiru Islam (JNI) and other Islamic bodies in Kogi State to make their worship Centres accessible for all by creating ramps, handrails and providing sign language Interpreters to enable Muslims with disabilities worship God like any other Muslims in the society.
The Board Chairman equally prayed for leaders in position of authority across the State and country for divine wisdom and peaceful coexistence.
