Abia state governor, Alex Chioma Otti has reassured his government’s commitment to full responsibilities and not leave any person with disability behind.
The governor was responding to a question on why the Abia State Commission for the Welfare of the Disabled Persons is yet to be established in a media chat with HE Dr Alex Otti OFR Executive Governor of Abia State.
According to the governor, “I started by appointing an SA on disability who by the way is here, we are gradually setting up the different commissions, starting with the civil service commission, the ASUBEB, the judiciary service commission that we just set up.
“So we are coming to the disability commission, already setting up, and at the fullest time, we set up a commission, we also want to do things that would support people with disabilities, some of the palliatives and support we have given in the past were for vulnerable groups and vulnerable groups include persons with disabilities (PWDs).
“So I would want to reassure you that this government is set to live to its responsibilities and PWDs will not be left behind.” Alex Otti said.
