Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon Mohammed Abba Isa, has extended a heartfelt congratulations to Ambassador Dr. Chris Nwanoro on his momentous victory in the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) election for the 2025-2028 term.
According to report, Dr. Nwanoro secured a resounding win in the UN CRPD election held on June 11th, 2024.
In a congratulatory letter issued Wednesday, the Senior presidential aide stated that Dr. Nwanoro’s resounding win, announced during the United Nations Conference of States Parties (COSP 17) in New York, is not only a significant personal achievement but also a triumph for Nigeria and the global disability rights movement.
Hon. Abba Isa noted that his election stands as a beacon of hope and progress in our ongoing fight for inclusivity and equality for persons with disabilities.
“Your dedication and tireless efforts in advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities have been exemplary, and this recognition by the international community is a testament to your unwavering commitment.
