A kindhearted philanthropist and renowned humanitarian HRM Queen Dr. Haliamat Adenike Tejousho has doled out a sum of N50,000 (fifty thousand naira) to a 20 year old boy simply identified as Adamu Mohammed, a native of Pindiga District, Akko LGA, Gombe state who incidentally became an amputee after losing both of his arms following an alleged phone theft.
Tejousho, who earlier promised to take care of Adamu’s medical bills, sponsor his education up to the university level as well as placing the victim on a N50,000 monthly stipends as long as she lived has today Tuesday commenced the disbursement of the monthly stipends to Adamu.
According to the renowned philanthropist, Adamu will continue to receive the N50,000 monthly stipends from her as his living allowance.
INN Correspondent who represented the kindhearted philanthropist to facilitate the issuance of the money reported how the sister of the victim Aishatu Mohammed who could not hide her frustrations towards the terrible plight her brother is inadvertently being subjected to, as a result of his amputation, broke out into tears.
Earlier in his appreciation messages to the kindhearted philanthropist, Adamu expressed immense gratitude to Dr. Halimat, praying God to reward her with the best rewards and plead with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint her a minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
His words “I wholeheartedly appreciate the humanitarian gestures rendered to me by Queen Dr Halimat. It’s my ardent prayers that God the Almighty will reward you with what is better in this world.
“I also urge President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to look into the good humanitarian works you are doing and compensate you by appointing you as a minister of Humanitarian Affairs to continue rendering humanitarian service to those in Need” he added.
Meanwhile, the Director of Public Prosecutions in the Gombe State Ministry of Justice Abubakar Jungudo, has earlier confirmed to newsmen the prosecution of Adamu’s uncle whose negligence leads to the amputation of Adamu’s arms.
He said “We are going to prosecute the defendant. We are awaiting the assignment of the case by the Chief Judge of Gombe State.”
