The Pioneer Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Disability Rights Commission (NSDRC), Hon. Saleh Barde Keana, has received the National Vice President, Internal Affairs of the Association of Nigeria Female Students (ANFS), Comrade Jatau Tabitha Ayuku, during a courtesy visit to his office.

Speaking during the visit, Comrade Jatau said she was at the Commission to formally present a letter requesting financial support for ANFS’ forthcoming programme titled “Dream Has No Disability,” scheduled to hold on May 21, 2026.

She explained that the programme is aimed at inspiring and mentoring persons with disabilities, while also creating awareness on elections and the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the electoral process.

In his remarks, Hon. Keana commended ANFS for initiating the programme and encouraged the association to continue advocating for persons with disabilities and promoting inclusivity across society.

The NSDRC Chairman noted that the event aligns with the Commission’s mandate and the inclusive policies of the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule.

Hon. Keana further assured the delegation of the state government’s commitment to supporting programmes that positively impact the lives of persons with disabilities, while also pledging the Commission’s support for the event.

The programme, themed “Dream Has No Disability,” is expected to focus on mentorship, awareness creation, and promoting the participation of persons with disabilities in the electioneering process.
