Members of the National Association of Persons With Physical Disabilities (NAPWPD), Lagos State Chapter, have elected a new set of executive officers to steer the affairs of the association for the next four years.
The election, which took place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Main Bowl of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, attracted members from various local government chapters across the state.
At the end of the exercise, Mr. Samson Akinbode of Alimosho Local Government emerged as the new Chairman of the association, while Mr. Aiyegbokiki Tajudeen from Ikorodu was elected as Vice Chairman.
Other officials elected into the new executive council include Agbabiake Yusuf as Secretary, Oladele Kehinde as Assistant Secretary, Oladokun Seyi as Financial Secretary, Ayobami Ali Balogun as Treasurer, Oyebiyi Banjo as Organizing Secretary, Evangelist Ugo Cul as Public Relations Officer (PRO), Shodipo Lateef as Sports Director, Muizat Kazeem as Chief Whip, Pastor Faleke Ayobami as Auditor, Gloria James as Social Welfare Officer, and Sanni Funmilayo as Assistant Social Welfare Officer.
The newly elected officers are expected to provide leadership and advance the welfare, inclusion, and rights of persons with physical disabilities across Lagos State during their tenure.
