The National Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities (NAPWPD) is deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Comrade Bala Tsoho Musa, MFR, a committed disability rights advocate. Comrade Tsoho tragically lost his life after being attacked by unknown assailants at his home in Bwari, Abuja.
In an official statement, NAPWPD extended its profound condolences to the bereaved family, acknowledging the extraordinary legacy of Comrade Tsoho. Known for his relentless dedication, he was a pioneering figure in the fight for the rights and well-being of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Nigeria.
“Comrade Tsoho’s leadership as the first National Secretary of NAPWPD was crucial in driving the association’s early initiatives,” the statement read. “His service as Director of the FCT Vocational Rehabilitation Centre in Kuchiko, coupled with his national recognition as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), underscore the monumental impact he had on disability advocacy and national development.”
NAPWPD further highlighted that Comrade Tsoho’s unwavering passion for justice and empowerment would serve as a guiding beacon, motivating future generations to continue his work toward a more inclusive society for PWDs.
Hon. Rilwan Mohammed, the National President of NAPWPD, offered his deepest sympathies to the family and prayed for Allah to grant them strength during this challenging time. He also prayed that Comrade Tsoho finds peace in Aljanah Firdaus, adding that the legacy he left behind would continue to shape the future of disability advocacy in Nigeria.
