Umar Jibril Bindawa, serving as Special Assistant on Disability Matters to the Governor of Katsina State, has urged for greater inclusion of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the state’s enlightenment and digital communication initiatives.
This call was made during his official visit to Malam Sabo Musa, the Governor’s Special Assistant on Enlightenment and Digital Communication.
INN reports that the visit was aimed at identifying effective ways to boost PWD involvement in state-driven information and communication programs.
During their meeting, Hon. Bindawa underscored the importance of ensuring that PWDs have equal opportunities across Katsina State.
To acknowledge his efforts, Bindawa presented an award to Malam Sabo Musa for his significant contributions to advancing the disability community.
Responding to this, Malam Sabo Musa assured his unwavering support and committed to integrating PWDs in the programs managed by his office.
He further affirmed his openness to ongoing collaboration and the active participation of the PWD community in state projects focused on enlightenment and digital communication.
