Jibril Umar Bindawa, the Special Assistant on Disability Matters to the Katsina State Governor, has reaffirmed ongoing efforts to implement the 5% employment quota for persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the state. His office is collaborating with the Katsina State Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Zainab M. Musawa, to ensure this initiative is realized.
He made this known while presenting a certificate of appreciation to the commissioner for her unwavering support and contributions to the successful 2024 Katsina State First Disabled Summit, held in November last year.
“As the Special Assistant on Disability Matters, I am working closely with her esteemed office to actualize the 5% employment quota for PWDs in Katsina. This is just the beginning, as we continue striving for inclusive governance under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Mallam Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON,” he stated.
Beyond employment opportunities, the administration is committed to enhancing accessibility, education, and welfare programs for persons with disabilities. Stakeholders are encouraged to collaborate in ensuring that policies translate into tangible benefits, reinforcing the state’s dedication to inclusivity and equal opportunity.
