Osogbo, Nigeria – In commemoration of this year’s Children’s Day, the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Osun State Chapter, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt admiration to children with disabilities across the state, celebrating their strength, resilience, and immense potential.
In a statement signed on behalf of the association on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the Women Coordinator, Isola Omotola Elizabeth, described children with disabilities as powerful, talented, and full of promise. “Your courage and resilience inspire us every day,” she said. “Whether you are in school, at home, or playing with friends—know that you are deeply valued, loved, and capable of achieving greatness.”
She emphasized the need for a more inclusive society where every child, regardless of their abilities, is respected and given equal opportunities to thrive. “Let us continue to create a world where every child is included and respected,” she urged.
Concluding her message, she reaffirmed the association’s commitment to advocacy and inclusion with the words, “Together, we rise in unity and purpose.”
Children’s Day is celebrated annually in Nigeria on May 27 to honour and promote the rights and well-being of children across the country.
