Foundation Provides Life-Changing Wheelchairs to PWDs in Niger Delta

by Inclusive News Network

The Isioma Humanitarian Foundation (ISHF) has made a remarkable impact by donating wheelchairs to over 20 individuals with disabilities across Bayelsa State. This gesture has significantly enhanced mobility and independence for recipients who have faced long-standing struggles with limited movement.

Ma Cecilia Fakimi, an elderly beneficiary, shared her emotional reaction to receiving the wheelchair. Previously confined indoors due to health challenges, she described the gift as transformative, stating, “I can now go outside and feel the fresh air again.” For Ma Fakimi, this small yet powerful change has dramatically improved her quality of life, allowing her to enjoy the outdoors once more.

Her daughter recounted their experience reaching out to ISHF via social media, praising the foundation for its swift response. She noted her amazement at how quickly the wheelchair was delivered, especially after numerous failed attempts to secure help from other organizations. The foundation’s prompt and efficient action left a deep impression on the family.

The wheelchair distribution effort spanned several local communities in Bayelsa State, underscoring ISHF’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable and marginalized populations across the Niger Delta. By providing essential mobility aids, the foundation has not only eased daily challenges for recipients but also strengthened their sense of belonging within their communities.

This initiative forms part of the Isioma Humanitarian Foundation’s broader efforts to uplift underserved individuals and families. Through responsive and impactful programs, ISHF continues to address urgent needs, deliver hope, and create meaningful, lasting change in society.
