The Disability Rights Advocacy Centre (DRAC) has called for increased comprehensive health care service for women and girls with disabilities in Nigeria as it mobilizes efforts, INN reports.
This information was contained in the message shared on its facebook page. It pointed out that ‘universal health care coverage is central to ensuring that everyone, everywhere has access to healthcare’.
The group disclosed that in spite of the development in health care sector “yet, women and girls with disabilities continue to face multiple barriers when accessing health services such as: negative attitudes from service providers, inaccessible health facilities and equipment, information and communication barriers, prohibitive healthcare costs, no access to health insurance, etc.”
Therefore, DRAC is mobilizing efforts to increase access to comprehensive health services for women and girls with disabilities, INN gathered.
