The Zamfara State Persons with Disabilities Board (ZSPwDB) has strengthened its collaboration with the State Ministry of Budget and Planning following a courtesy and technical engagement aimed at advancing disability inclusion and improving coordination of disability-related programmes across the state.
The engagement, held on Thursday, featured a visit by the Director of Social Protection Coordination at the Ministry, Hajiya Safiya Ibrahim, alongside her deputy, to the Board’s headquarters. The meeting builds on ongoing discussions between both institutions to enhance cooperation on policies and initiatives that promote the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities.
Speaking during the meeting, the Executive Chairman of ZSPwDB, Usman Ahmad Nahuche, welcomed the delegation and commended the Ministry for its commitment to strengthening collaboration. He stressed that sustained partnerships among government institutions remain essential to achieving inclusive governance and expanding opportunities for persons with disabilities in Zamfara State.
Representing the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Hajiya Safiya Ibrahim reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with the Board to ensure effective coordination of disability-related programmes and social protection initiatives. She noted that stronger institutional collaboration would contribute to more inclusive planning and improved service delivery.
The meeting further underscores the growing partnership between the Zamfara State Persons with Disabilities Board and the Ministry of Budget and Planning as both institutions continue to work towards fostering inclusive development and enhancing the quality of life for persons with disabilities across the state.
