The Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Mohammed Abba Isa has congratulated Mr. Ayuba Burki Gufwan, on his appointment as the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for People with Disabilities.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the presidential aide said Gufwan’s appointment reflects his dedication and expertise in advocating for the rights and empowerment of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs).
He said Gufwan’s role as the Executive Director of the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre in Jos makes him exceptionally qualified for this position.
“Your extensive experience and legal expertise, underscored by your LLB, make you a vital asset in championing the rights and welfare of PWDs across Nigeria.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision to appoint new leaders within the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, including yourself, demonstrates his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda. We are confident that under your leadership, the National Commission for People with Disabilities will achieve significant growth and development, enhancing the lives of PWDs.”
The Presidential Aide seeks collaboration with the Executive Secretary to impact and transform the lives of PWDs.
He added, “Your leadership and vision will undoubtedly be crucial in shaping policies and programs that foster inclusivity, accessibility, and equal opportunities for all.”
