Country Director Congratulates Lengnen Jikuka on Appointment as Chairman of Plateau Disability Commission

Ayuba Iza Waziri, Country Director of Redemption International for the Blind, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Lengnen Jikuka on his recent appointment as Chairman of the Plateau State Disability Rights Commission.

INN had on February 15 reported that Governor Caleb Mutfwang officially approved Dr. Jikuka’s appointment as Executive Chairman of the Commission.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Country Director praised Jikuka’s new role, recognizing it as a reflection of his outstanding leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to advocating for the rights and welfare of individuals with disabilities.

“As the Country Director of Redemption International for the Blind, I have personally witnessed the transformative power that strong, visionary leadership brings to disability advocacy and policy. Your appointment represents a beacon of hope and marks a significant milestone in the journey toward a more inclusive and equitable society,” Waziri said.

He further emphasized Dr. Jikuka’s vast experience and steadfast dedication to disability rights, expressing confidence that his leadership would drive meaningful progress. “We expect your tenure to focus on key issues such as accessibility, equal opportunities, and the empowerment of people with disabilities in Plateau State.”
