Autism Advocate and Entrepreneur Launches ‘Crown and Calm’ Brand in Nigeria

by Inclusive News Network

Lagos-based entrepreneur and autism advocate Chinwe Gloria Oyouwa has introduced ‘Crown and Calm,’ a sensory-friendly brand dedicated to providing products that cater to unique sensory needs. Inspired by her personal experiences with autism in her family, Oyouwa, who is also a sensory specialist, aims to create a supportive environment for Nigerians and Africans with invisible disabilities.

“My experience with my autistic uncle gave me an intimate understanding of the daily challenges faced by those with sensory sensitivities,” Oyouwa shared. “This experience, along with my marketing studies at Ladoke Akintola University, has helped me develop and promote ‘Crown and Calm’ in a way that truly reflects its purpose.”

Oyouwa’s vision is rooted in empathy and her goal to help individuals with sensory sensitivities lead more fulfilling lives. “Crown and Calm is more than a business—it’s a mission to provide comfort and calm to those who need it most,” she added.

The brand’s mission is to make every child feel understood, supported, and empowered to reach their potential. Each product is carefully selected to encourage sensory play, reduce anxiety, and support motor and cognitive skills development.

The ‘Crown and Calm’ collection offers products designed to foster sensory awareness, emotional well-being, and learning through play, reflecting Oyouwa’s commitment to quality, comfort, and positive impact.
