The UK Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has named Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, APC National Chairman, and Hon. Tolu Bankole, National Leader for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), as Global Ambassadors.
The awards ceremony, held at APC’s National Headquarters in Abuja, commended both leaders for their dedication to inclusivity and societal advancement in Nigeria.
Hon. Tolu Bankole was recognized for his tireless efforts in advocating for Persons With Disabilities across Nigeria. His work in championing inclusive policies has created expanded access to essential resources, education, and economic opportunities for PWDs, strengthening his role as a respected leader for disability rights nationally and internationally.
In his speech, Bankole expressed his gratitude and highlighted his vision for a Nigeria where PWDs have a voice in all spheres. Describing the award as a reflection of the PWD community’s strength, he reiterated his commitment to policies that protect their rights and foster inclusivity across the nation.
Dr. Ganduje was also honored for his impactful leadership as APC National Chairman. Known for promoting unity and transparency, Ganduje’s tenure has fostered greater youth and minority engagement within the party. During his remarks, he commended the APC UK Chapter and pledged to work toward a Nigeria where all citizens can access political representation and opportunities.
