Group Names INN CEO, Sejoro Ekundayo, ICON OF THE MONTH OF MAY

…I Feel Excited To Be So Honoured, He Says

Disability Not A Barrier Initiative (DINABI) a non governmental organization operating in Ekiti state has named the CEO of Inclusive News Network, Sejoro Ekundayo as it’s ICON OF THE MONTH OF MAY.

The group had earlier sent a message to Ekundayo signifying their interest in naming him their Icon of the month saying “We wish to notify you on behalf of our organization, Disability Not A Barrier Initiative (DINABI) that you have been nominated as DINABI ICON OF THE MONTH for the month of May…”

Ekundayo said he was shocked to be so honoured, adding that though it was not the first time he was receiving such honour, this particular one was thrilling for him.

“I was in disbelief when I first saw the message but had to go ahead and do what was necessary. With time I realized that it was true.

“Though, this is not the first honour I’d received as i was given first honourary award by Voice for the Deaf foundation in July 20, 2019. The foundation was founded by Alaba Durojaiye Adefala. This new honour is the first of its kind for me,” he said.

Ekundayo added that the nomination is a great honour to be recognized by one of the non governmental organization of persons with disabilities, DINABI founded by its executive director and a physically challenged, Engr Olajide Funso.

“I am using this opportunity to dedicate this nomination to my team members most especially my partner from the start Umezurike Nelson, our Editor Ekene Okoro, Proofreader Dr. Nnodim Ijeoma, writers Yusuf Yahaya, Dayyabu Tanimu Azare, news distributors Olabode Oyewole Daniel, Akowe Akieneme and a host of others who have contributed in one way or the other till this moment,” the INN CEO added.

Executive Director of DINABI, Olajide Funsho in his response said “This generation and generations yet unborn will look back one day, remember you and bless God for creating you on this planet. You have started well, you will finish strong and better. I admire you brother.”
