As part of its overall goal of addressing the issue of educational exclusion faced by children with disabilities in Gombe State, Cedar Seeds Foundation (CSF) is seeking the services of experts in the fields of content creation, photography/videography and ICT for a 10-month project set to begin this month in Gombe State.
The project tagged “Project Revive Initiative” will require successful candidates to come up with a Social media campaign that reaches out to audiences within the country and beyond. The campaign seeks to sensitize and re-orientate parents and the general public on the importance of enrolling children with disabilities in school. At same time, it would serve advocacy ends for inclusive basic education in Nigeria.
Also incorporated in this project are efforts to address the issue of poor awareness on the existing National policy on inclusive education. An Online TV will be engaged in the drive to take the sensitization/advocacy message across the nation and beyond – with special focus on Gombe State.
Executive Director of Cedar Seed Foundation, Lois Auta-Udonkanta says: “We are aware that reaching the general public with our advocacy message is important and invaluable to the realization of the objectives of Project Revive Initiative at national level.”
“The deployment of Social media, Radio Jingle and Online TV for the campaign is premised on cost efficiency and mass audience reach.
Auta believes that to achieve improved societal orientation towards education of boys and girls with disabilities and their consequent enrolment in school by parents and guardians, Social media campaign, Radio Jingle and Online TV will go a long way.”
CSF will be engaging the services of a Photographer/Videographer to document all the activities included in the Project Revive Initiative. The ICT consultant will be mandated to develop and manage CSF-Project Revive Initiative Online TV and Social Media Platforms. Meanwhile, the content creator will work under a project officer and ICT specialist to draft, edit and engage contents for the Project’s Online TV and Social Media Platforms.
