In its effort to ease hunger occassioned by the Covid-19 lockdown, Jibore Impeccable Foundation, an organisation passionate about People with Disabilities (PWDs) in several forms has distributed palliative for them in Kwara state.
Chief Executive Officer of the group, Mrs Joy Bolarin, a physically- challenged educationist, in a statement sent to INN explained how the organisation has assisted several PWDs including a family of four living with disabilities.
She said the organisation has also sponsored freedom ceremony of a physical challenge lady, awareness creation, food donation, cash donation, assistance on health matter, book support, book production of persons with disability.”
Bolarin added that the organisation had another milestone achievement in creation of e-commerce platform for person with disabilities to showcase and sell their products
The organisation, being one of the several NGOs who have shown sensitivity to the situation and humanitarian needs of people with disabilities in the state, distributed palliatives to cushion the effects of the lockdown and make life easier for them in the State.
She said, “Knowing the adverse effects of lock down and discomfort for every members of the society we know the effect is more on people with disability because of the peculiarity of their needs”
“Jibore impeccable foundation being an humanitarian organization that is promoting ability in disability and doing her best to provide solution to problems facing people with disability rise to the occasion of the challenge on ground by providing foodstuffs and cash to several people with disability in her environment thus putting smiles on their faces and cushion the effect of the stay at home”.
Several foodstuffs like rice, beans, semo, tin tomatoes, salt, cash and several other materials were donated to make life better for people with disability in the State.
