CHIDI OLUJIE: A PHENOMENAL ABILITY ON DISABILITY

Over the years, Chidi Olujie has become a force to be reckoned with. His antecedents, powers and dexterity cannot be overemphasized in the aspect of human development.

Despite his inability to hear and speak, Chidi Olujie has put smiles on the faces of millions of people within and outside Nigeria and his name have been written on the sands of time.

Needless to say posterity cannot forget him because he has created a path for “happiness” which is one of the major cardinal points of human existence. Simply put, when humans are happy irrespective of physical challenges, development is bound to occur and no society can ever be happy without growth and development, because it brings about speedy transformations of a people in bringing them out of the abyss of slavery and servitude.

Chidi Olujie is not just a philanthropist but a renowned writer who has contributed to knowledge especially in the education of those living with disabilities, especially the Deaf.

With the ongoing deadly pandemic that has claimed lives and fixed so many persons in a state of hunger and penury, Chidi Olujie has served as succour and has given hope to the hopeless.

His efforts to provide masks, hand sanitizers, cash and relief materials may term him as a “life saver”. He has created and has worked with many Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) geared towards solving societal problems and needs.

Chidi Olujie is well schooled and currently running a PHD program in Special Education. His vast knowledge has contributed immensely to the growth of the Nigerian National Association of the Deaf and Deaf Teachers Association of Nigeria. With his leadership skills, he was able to run a campaign for the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic party and has also been successful in the running of his foundation which is the Chidi Topaz Olujie Foundation (CTO foundation).

These and many more areas that Chidi Olujie regardless of his disability, has done the society proud.

Presently, Chidi Olujie is contesting for the post of President of the Nigeria National Association of Deaf and with his leadership skills, educational achievement and experience, it only simply affirms that Chidi Olujie is the right man for the job.

Olujie is out to straighten every crooked path and restore light to many disable persons and also create a path in the wilderness by giving voice to the voiceless and hope to the hopeless.

His administration, if voted in, would give room for equality, equity and justice. This is simply because as a leader, he has exhibited traits of one who always has the interest of everyone at heart and ready to carry everyone along.

If voted in, there is every tendency that he will leverage on his good deeds of the past and expand them to even higher heights.

Olujie firmly believes in the saying that “Do not think of what your country will do for you but what you can do for your country” and this quest is simply one aimed at creating a positive change.

Simply put, he is the best man for the job.

I’d like to get involved as members of Nigeria Disability in diaspora. I m one Deaf group with hearing Disability that created America with Disabilities of Act (ADA) in 1990 about 30 years .
