Subsidies removal: Bauchi PWDs Benefit From Palliative Distribution

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has flagged off the distribution of food and non-food materials as palliative to vulnerable households in Bauchi State.

Speaking during the exercise at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi, Mohammed said his administration has concluded adequate arrangements to ensure targeted beneficiaries are reached out to, in each of the five thousand polling units across the state.

While commending the Federal Government for the contribution, Mohammed said already, his administration has provided curative measures to situations by procuring public transport buses at subsidized rates, payment of students scholarship all as part of his effort to lessen the economic hardship as well as alleviating the impact of the removal of fuel subsidy.

Governor Bala used the medium to once again commend the palliative distribution committee headed by his Deputy, Honourable Mohammed Auwal Jatau for assiduously working with stakeholders comprising traditional rulers, scholars as well as People with Disabilities (PWD), warning that any individual found contravening the items will be dealt with decisively.

Items distributed include eighty-nine thousand bags of rice, ten thousand naira cash among others.
