Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Bauchi State have joined other well-wishers to congratulate Governor Bala Abdulkhadir Mohammed on success at the just concluded governorship polls.
The incumbent Bala Abdulkhadir Mohammed emerged victorious on the platform of the People Democratic party (PDP).
Governor Bala polled an impressive 525,280 votes to defeat his closest rival, retired Air Marshall Sadique Baba Abubakar of the All Progressive Congress (APC). Sadique garnered 432,302 votes. Meanwhile, Haliru Dauda Jika of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) came distant third with 54,178 votes.
Sa’adu Ibrahim, chairman, PWDs of Jama’are Local Government Area, in a congratulatory message to Governor Bala said: ”Your victory is in recognition of your commitment to the social and economic growth of Bauchi State, coupled with your track-record of achievement in the course of your service to humanity.
“We therefore have no doubt, whatsoever, that you will continue sustaining your positive virtues and discharge your duties with a sense of honour and responsibility towards development of our dear State”.
INN reports that, the incumbent Governor’s victory did not come as a surprise to populace of the State. There is general consensus among Bauchians that Sen. Bala has done a great job of transformation in Bauchi State.
