Katsina – As part of activities marking the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, the Special Assistant to the Katsina State Governor on Disabled Matters, Hon. Umar Jibril Bindawa, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Abubakar Aliyu Albaba, a member of the Katsina State House of Assembly.
During the visit, Hon. Bindawa congratulated Hon. Albaba on the Sallah festivities and commended him for his steadfast support for the disability community in the state. In appreciation of his efforts, Bindawa presented an award to the lawmaker.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to renew discussions around the Katsina State Disability Commission Bill. Both officials pledged their commitment to ensuring the swift passage of the bill, which they noted would play a critical role in promoting the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities.
“We remain united in our resolve to ensure that inclusivity and accessibility are at the heart of governance,” Hon. Bindawa stated, while Hon. Albaba reaffirmed his support for policies aimed at uplifting the disability community.
The leaders emphasized the need for sustained collaboration between stakeholders to advance the cause of disability rights in Katsina State.
