Special Adviser to Governor Abayomi Oyebanji on Special Education and Social Inclusion, Mrs Adetoun Agboola has assured persons with disabilities of the state governor’s commitments to inclusion of persons with disabilities.
She gave the assurance when Ekiti State chapter of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) paid a visit to her office on Thursday 17th, August, 2023.
INN reports that Mrs Agboola is one of the 14 new special advisers appointed by gov Oyebanji.
Speaking while receiving Executive members of the association, the special adviser expressed her passion for persons with disabilities and assured of Gov Oyebanji’s readiness to collaborate and work with the association.
Mrs Agboola also assured of the Governor’s sincerity in ensuring that PWDs are included in government activities and programs.
Furthermore, the special adviser also pledged the Governor’s support in commemorating the International day of persons with disabilities in December.
Mr. Owolabi Kayode, the chairman of JONAPWD appreciated Mrs Agboola for her kindness and her passion for PWDs. He prayed for her successful tenure.
He disclosed the achievements of JONAPWD and revealed the challenges faced by the association which include employment and accessibility to facilities and several other issues that needs urgent attention.
