In the spirit of Ramadan, Near Foundation, in collaboration with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Mohammed Abba Isa, has extended food relief to persons with disabilities (PWDs) and vulnerable individuals.
The distribution, which took place at the Old Parade Ground, Abuja, was aimed at easing the financial strain on marginalized groups during the holy month. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the timely intervention, which provided much-needed sustenance for fasting individuals and their families.
Speaking at the event, Mohammed Abba Isa highlighted the significance of charity during Ramadan, commending Near Foundation for demonstrating generosity and compassion. “This initiative goes beyond providing food; it reinforces the values of empathy, inclusion, and support for those in need,” he remarked.
He further reassured the community of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of PWDs, pledging sustained efforts to foster inclusivity through strategic partnerships.
Isa encouraged Near Foundation to continue its humanitarian efforts and called for more collaborations that would bring lasting change to vulnerable populations.
