Abia State House of Assembly aspirant Dr. Chidi Topaz Olujie has assured the good people of the state of his readiness to deliver, if elected, the dividends of democracy while promoting inclusion for women, youths, and persons with disabilities in education, empowerment, sports, and security.
Olujie, who vied for the same position in 2019 under the flagship of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, professed his love for his people and patriotic spirit to serve for the kind of effective representation they deserve.
He stressed that his ambitious plans if elected, will ensure good representation for the people of the state. According to him, “I have drawn up seven agendas for my people and constituency when elected to represent them at the State House of Assembly.”
“My administration will promote and deliver quality education, women empowerment; youth and sport; social welfare and poverty alleviation schemes; rural development; security; Disability inclusion, and other dividends of democracy and good governance.”
He pointed out that his Foundation, the Chidi Topaz Olujie Foundation, has done the part in uplifting women, youths, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable persons through sports, entertainment, education supports through scholarships and several other initiatives.
While reiterating his contributions to ensure enactment of the Abia State Disability Bill into law, Olujie pointed out that the bill has passed the second reading at the house of Assembly.
Olujie stated that every citizen of Abia State Ukwa East deserves to be carried along in all activities of Government and general society through effective advocacy and support if elected.
Olujie urged the PDP hierarchy in the state to show love, respect, and honesty towards everyone without partiality.
He advocated for promoting and delivering dividends of democracy and good governance to all. This will give everyone, regardless of class, gender, tribe, or disability, the opportunity to participate in politics and enjoy the privilege it offers.
“There should be peace and unity. We need to end favoritism and selfishness. I know it is not an easy task, but we have to. That way, everybody will have a sense of belonging.”
“We all know that the Government needs serious people to constantly remind them and justify their need to fulfill their promises or acquiesce to our demands. We, therefore, have to participate in Government activities actively so our contributions can be recognized.”
