PWDs Urge Inclusiveness in Kogi State, Local Government Elections.

Ahmed Usman Ododo, Governor of Kogi State

As Kogi prepares for forthcoming Local Government Elections, the Kogi APC Disability Support Group has urged Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Governor of Kogi State to reconsider the sharing formula in a manner that ensures total inclusiveness for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Kogi State.

The Support group said this in a statement signed by Comr. Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem President: Kogi Central Persons with Disabilities Association on Tuesday.

“We believe that, just as there are designated percentages for men and women, it is equally vital that a certain percentage is allocated for PWDs. We are integral members of the community you govern, and our inclusion would not only reflect your fatherly care for all citizens but also empower us to actively participate in the governance of our state.

“We kindly urge you to work with the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, to facilitate this appeal and ensure that the voices of PWDs are heard and represented in the upcoming elections.

“May Almighty Allah guide you as you continue to pilot the affairs of this great state towards total inclusiveness. We remain hopeful for a positive response to our request.
