PwDs in Bauchi thank Gov. Bala for inclusion in palliatives distribution

The Joint National Association Of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD) in Bauchi has paid a solidarity visit to Bauchi state Deputy governor Muhammad Auwal Jatau who is chairman of palliative committee at his residence in Bauchi to appreciate governor of Bauchi state Bala Abdulkhadir Mohammed for including persons with disabilities in the distribution of palliative to residents in Bauchi state as a result of subsidies removal by the federal government.

The group was led by former Chairman of Bauchi state Agency for persons with Disabilities, Ibrahim Mohammed, to the residence of chairman palliative committee.

The Chairman of palliative committee Auwal Jatau, thanked the group for the visit and appreciated the governor for his concern and effort to include persons with disabilities in the distribution of palliatives.

Jatau assured them that the palliative will be distributed to all persons with disabilities across the 20 LGAs of the state and the disabilities clusters in all LG will be called for collection of their palliatives by the LG stakeholders.

He said, “Governor Bala will not leave behind Persons with Disability in the distribution of palliatives, he must include them in order to alleviating poverty in the state, persons with disabilities must get their own share”

Jatau pledge to be transparent in the distribution of palliatives and ensure they are shared to PwDs fairly and equally, and not to sell them.
