Ilesa, Osun State – The Osun State Bureau for People with Disabilities has extended a goodwill message to the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at the University of Ilesa during its inaugural International Conference, commending the institution for fostering inclusive dialogue on national development.

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator (Dr.) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Executive Secretary of the Bureau, Rotarian Ayobami Oyewumi Oyetunde, praised the University for organizing the conference themed “Navigating the Intersection of Business, Governance, and Society for Sustainable Development: The Role of Nigeria’s Diversity and AI.”

The Bureau highlighted the critical role of higher education institutions in shaping an equitable society and reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for the full inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in all aspects of development. “Full inclusion of people with disabilities is a vital requirement in promoting a fair and egalitarian society,” the Bureau stated, emphasizing the need for equity regardless of physical ability, ideology, or social differences.

The goodwill message also underscored the Bureau’s readiness to partner with the University of Ilesa and other stakeholders to advance knowledge-driven solutions that promote accessibility, rights, and opportunities for PWDs across Osun State.

The message concluded with warm congratulations to the University community for its commitment to academic excellence and inclusive governance.
