The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa has awarded 100,000 Naira to the winning team of a friendly match for the para-soccer EID-El Kabir Game.
Abba Isa also donated 50,000 Naira to the second-place team, and 20,000 Naira to the best scorer.
Speaking at the event hosted by Ummaty International Foundation in his hometown of Damaturu, Yobe State on Monday, Tinubu’s aide emphasized the importance of unity and inclusion for people with disabilities. He encouraged everyone to embrace peace and forbearance. He stressed that people with disabilities should be given equal opportunities and be included in all societal aspects.
“I urge everyone, especially those living with disabilities, to embrace unity for peace and forbearance. As the Special Presidential Aide, I extend prayers and encouragement to all young individuals with special needs. It is crucial to integrate people with disabilities into every opportunity available,” he stated.
In a show of support for the para-soccer community, Hon. Muhammad Abba Isa pledged to back every leading para-soccer tournament in the country.
