People with disabilities get Eid gifts

Chief Imam of Lagos State House of Assembly Mosque Abdullateef Abdulhakeem has donated N1 million to people living with disabilities in the state.

Abdulhakeem made the donation on Tuesday in Ebute-Meta, during the Eid celebration organised by Kehinde Oshilaja Foundation for people living with disabilities.

The event held at Odunfa Square, under the chairmanship of Sheikh Hassan Olowo, chief imam of Ojikutu Central Mosque, Ebute-Metta.

Abdulhakeem, represented by Sheik Mohammed Ganiyu, urged the government to ensure peace, saying ‘without peace, there won’t be meaningful development’.

Chief convener Oshilaja hailed the donor and urged governments to rise up to their responsibility and ensure that people living with disabilities get equal treatment.

About 120 persons got items donated by philanthropists like Sheikh Olowo, Alhaji Sodiq Oloto, and others.
