More than 200 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Augie Local Government Area of Kebbi State have been enrolled in the Kebbi State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KECHEMA) under the Equity Fund.
The enrolment, which took place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, was part of ongoing grassroots mobilisation efforts aimed at promoting the welfare and inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in the state.
Anas Malami Gwandu, Coordinator of the City Boy Movement for Persons with Disabilities, Kebbi State, disclosed the development, noting that the initiative would improve beneficiaries’ access to healthcare services.
Gwandu also said Persons with Disabilities in Augie reaffirmed their continued support for the inclusive governance agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the administration of Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, popularly known as Kauran Gwandu.
