The All Progressive Congresss (APC) Persons With Disabilities Support Group in Ogun State has called for inclusion in the campaign committee of the party in the state.
The group made the call in a statement received by Inclusive News Network.
The group said despite the recognition accorded to them by the party during the inauguration of Ogun APC People With Disabilities Support Group which had in attendance Mr James Dina, the APC Ogun State Deputy Chairman, the party still excluded them from the committee.
The group, through the Chairman, Dr Lekan Muhammed in an open letter to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Party Chairman Yemi Sanusi and other APC Chieftains in the state, says they are fully prepared and ready to work towards the reemergence of Prince Dapo Abiodun as Governor of Ogun State and all other APC candidates in Ogun State.
Muhammed urges them to constitute help a campaign committee just like the youth, women and students so that People with disability will also be in the front line during this campaign period.
He noted that this will enhance inclusion of people with disabilities in politics.
According to him, “I am very optimistic that the inclusion will have a positive impact through the mobilization of people with disabilities across the length and breadth of Ogun State which will amount to maximum victory for all APC candidates at all level in the State”.
