The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) zone A, which comprises of Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano,Kaduna, Niger, Kebbi, Katsina, Sokkoto and Zamfara States have lauded and passed a vote of confidence on the government of His Excellency, Alh. Mohammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State for his unflinching support and contributions towards the success of the Zonal Convention of the union held at Pantami Stadium Gombe last week.
In a statement signed by the Chairman, communiqué drafting committee, Comrade Nasir Justice and the convention chairman Comrade Adamu Kabiru Matazu, NANS appreciated and passed vote of confidence on the Leadership of Alh. Mohammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Executive Governor of Gombe state for his unflinching support and contributions made towards the success of the convention which produced comrade Zakari Hashim as its new coordinator.
INN, gathered that the union also commended the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed for ensuring the prompt and timely arrest of Hamisu Wadume, a Kidnap kingpin that has been terrorising the Northern Region.
While commending everyone that have made tangible contributions towards the success of the convention, members observed a minute of silence for their gallant members who lost their precious lives in cause of carrying out their National Assignment and prayed for the repose of their souls.
NANS also used the occasion to call on the Federal Government to, as a matter of urgency, adequately compensate the families their late colleagues left behind and cater for the education of their children.
