Rotary Club of Ede has appealed to Persons with Disabilities to make Judicious use of assistive devices and other materials donated to them by the club.
Outgoing President of the club, Rtn. Ismail Ogundiji while welcoming executives of the Joint National Association Of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD) Osun State chapter, highlighted the Rotary Club’s core beliefs and doctrines.
He intimated the executives and beneficiaries of the need to maintain the assistive materials and other donations given them with care.
Ogundiji said: “I will like to appeal to the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the materials in order to encourage donors to do more.
A top official of the Rotary Club, Ede noted that the country is faced with a lot of difficulties and the over 100 year old club will not compromise in its Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Ede Rotary club President, while presenting a wheelchair to a beneficiary, Mrs. Ayodele Modupeoluwa, urged her to use the wheelchair to ease her daily activities and engagements.
Another beneficiary, a young man was empowered with a complete set of cutting machine for aluminum works.
Pupils and students with special needs in Ede got writing materials from the club.
