KOSODA Board Chairman Condemns Killing, Seeks Justice For Aisha Aminu

The Board Chairman, Kogi State Office For Disability Affairs, (KOSODA), Hon Ibrahim Daniel Arome, has condemned in totality the killing of Aisha Aminu, a member of the Disability Community, a 30 years old woman with 3 kids by one Mr Siyaka Mohammed.

Arome in a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, called on the Security Agencies, the Commissioner of police, Department of State Security Services, Civil Defense and other sister security agencies to ensure the culprit is brought to book and prosecuted accordingly.

He described the action as evil and that if nothing is done urgently, the entire Disability Community in Kogi State will not be safe.

The chairman expressed confidence in the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the area of security architecture noting that justice shall be served.

In his condolence message, Arome assured the family of Aishat Aminu that, the killer must not go unpunished and pray that, God protect the children she left behind.

He promise that, KOSODA/the disability Community will do everything within their power to ensure justice is done noting that, an injury to one is an injury to all.

Recalled that a man simply identified as Siyaka Mohammed, reportedly stabbed Aisha Aminu, a woman with disability to death over a misunderstanding.

The incident occurred at Obehira, Okene LGA, Kogi State. A 44 years old Siyaka the assailant is said to have fled the scene after committing the offense, Arome called on the Police and other security Agencies to save the disability Community out of the great pain by fishing him out, insisting that he must be made to face the full wrath of the law.

According to an eyewitness, the suspected murderer visited the deceased shop around 6a.m, dragged her from the inner chamber, and repeatedly stabbed her until she succumbed to death following the injuries she sustained and she could not run for her dear life as a person with disability.

Aisha was taken to Okengwe General Hospital where she was confirmed dead and has been buried according to slamic rites.

Yes for us at the community of person with disability this is against our human right. The perpetrator must serve the deserved punishment.
I am 100% in this fight with the person with disability community.
