The General Secretary of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD ) in Ekiti state, Mr. Oni Femi has praised governor Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji for driving disability inclusion in the State.
He gave the commendation in an interview on Thursday.
Femi noted that gov Oyebanji doesn’t wait to approve the demands of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) when the need arises.
He added, “During his first and second birthday as a governor, Oyebanji diverted all gifts meant for him to all special schools and other PWDs and vulnerable in the state. This deeply touched my heart because it’s first of its kind”
While listing various programmes and initiatives the governor has done to ensure better welfare for PWDs, the JONAPWD Secretary appreciates Governor Oyebanji for his love, care and for prioritizing the needs of PWDs.
He also appeals to the governor who believes in the competence and ability of PWDs to appoint a PWD as Executive Secretary of Ekiti State Office for Disability Affairs (EKSODA) as it is stipulated in the Ekiti State Disability Law.
