Gov Abdullahi extends lock-down in Nasarawa LGA

Nasarawa State Government has extended the lock-down of Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state following confirmed new cases of COVID-19 in the area.

Governor Abdullahi Sule at a press briefing in Lafia said out of the 13 confirmed new cases in the state, 4 were traced to close contacts of the late member of the state House of Assembly, representing Nasarawa Central, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu who died of the Coronavirus.

The Governor stated that the extension of lock-down in the local government area was based on advice from health workers to enable them track more contacts of the deceased member of the House of Assembly.

Governor Abdullahi Sule noted that the other 9 new cases were returnees from COVID-19 high risk states especially Lagos and Kano.

This brings to 25 the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Nasarawa State with 1 death.
