The Ekiti State Government has approved the employment of 30 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) into the State Public Service as part of efforts to promote inclusive employment and equal opportunities.

The decision was approved by the State Executive Council, which also directed the strict implementation of the five per cent employment quota reserved for PWDs under the Ekiti State Disability Law in all future recruitment exercises.

The government said the move was aimed at strengthening inclusive governance and ensuring that Persons with Disabilities have equitable access to employment opportunities within the public service.

It added that the implementation of the quota would promote greater participation of PWDs in governance while contributing to a more inclusive and representative public workforce in the state.
