Edo Govt Empowers Women, Youth, PWDs

Edo State Government through the Ministry of Social Development and Gender Issues has carried out a one week skills acquisition training comprising of makeup, auto Gele, hair fascinator and traditional hair-do (Okuku).

The training kicked off 8th of August and continued till 12th of August 2022. The just concluded economic empowerment programme held at Victory Baptist church, TV Road, Benin City and recorded about a hundred participants.

Beneficiaries of the empowerment programme which included some persons with disabilities (PWDs), expressed their joy and commended the state government for the initiative.

Through this programme and its likes, the State government aims at alleviating socio-economic hardship, unemployment and increasing financial prospects and overall improvement of livelihood of women, youth and PWDs across the state.
