CSF, LEF Sign MoU to Empower Persons With Disabilities

Cedar Seed Foundation and Lord Echendu Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to empower people with disabilities and improve partnership between the two organizations.

The MoU was jointly signed by Lord Echendu, Founder and CEO, Lord Echendu Foundation (LEF) and Lois Auta of Cedar Seed Foundation (CSF) at Excel Hotel, Garki 2, Abuja, on August 20, 2022.

Echendu, while welcoming Lois Auta and her team to the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and Partnership between both organizations, highlighted his foundation’s focus.

According to him, these, amongst others include empowering young entrepreneurs to achieve their potentials and reaching out to the vulnerable in Nigeria and other parts of Africa.

He assured Cedar Seed Foundation of team work towards achieving the goal of the project.

His words, “our organization’s special focus is on empowering Persons with Disabilities and we are committed to it”.

In her remark, Chief Executive Officer of CSF, Lois Auta appreciated God for providing both organizations the grace to cross paths and witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and Partnership between them.

Auta highlighted CSF’s thematic areas which included, disability inclusion, inclusive education, empowering persons with disabilities through entrepreneurship, and good governance, amongst others.

Cedar Seed Foundation has partnered with organizations like USAID, MacArthur Foundation, UNDP, etc..

Lois Auta, in an interview with Inclusive News, said: “this partnership will help CSF achieve her set goals in many ways. We will be working as partners with Lord Uchendu Foundation to drive initiatives that represent our advocacy for the promotion of rights of Persons with Disabilities, their representation and participation in leadership roles and the actualization of their full potentials.

“The point is, both partners will be working in areas of mutual interests based on thematic projects to impact society.

“This partnership will benefit not only women with disabilities in Nigeria. It will also benefit girls and youth with disabilities and the whole Nigerian society.

It will drive inclusiveness and advocate for representation and participation of Persons with Disabilities in decision making processes, she said.
