The leadership of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Bauchi state chapter has expressed immense gratitude and sincere appreciation to the executive Governor of Bauchi State, Abdulkadir Bala Mohammed, for his administration’s total commitment and support towards the entire persons with Disabilities in the state.
The group made this known during a courtesy visit to the Bauchi State Deputy Governor His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Auwal Jatau in his office.
The JONAPWD leaders thanked the Governor for his many disability-friendly policies. Discribing him as the most PWD-friendly Governor in the history of the state.
Responding on behalf of the Governor, the Deputy Governor said as part of the government efforts to alleviate the sufferings of people with disabilities and ensure that they relate well with others, Bauchi State Government has reassured of its commitment towards supporting them to make life better.
Noting that, Sen Bala’s administration will consider restoring Bauchi State Agency for People with Disabilities.
Hon. Jatau who also doubled as the chairman of palliative committee vowed that the present administration will come up with programmes beneficial to them in order to have a sense of belonging. He expresssed concern over the challenges facing people with disabilities in the state.
The delegation expressed their gratitudes to Governor Bala’s led administration for support in various ways and assured him of their daily prayers and goodwill for the further development and transformation of Bauchi State.
The group was led by former Chairman of Bauchi state Agency for persons with Disabilities, Ibrahim Mohammed to the residence of chairman of palliative committee.
