FCT, Abuja – A member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the National Leader of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in the party, Aare (Hon.) Tolu Bankole, has congratulated the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on his unanimous election as the new National Chairman of the APC.

In a personally signed statement, Bankole described Yilwatda’s emergence as “historic, deeply reassuring, and a sign of renewed hope for the party,” noting that his appointment comes at a time when the APC requires visionary and reform-driven leadership.

“Your track record as an academic, technocrat, and reformer in both public and private spheres gives us every confidence that the future of the APC is in safe hands,” Bankole stated.

He highlighted Prof. Yilwatda’s outstanding credentials, including his contributions to academia, electoral reform, humanitarian service, and digital innovation, which he said uniquely position him to lead the ruling party into a new era of inclusive and accountable governance.

Bankole also commended the new chairman’s consistent advocacy for the vulnerable—especially Persons With Disabilities—and his commitment to good governance, describing him as “a transformational leader.”

Reaffirming his full support for Prof. Yilwatda, Bankole expressed confidence that the new chairman would unite the party and reinforce its strength ahead of future elections.

He further emphasized that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR remains firmly focused on fulfilling the Renewed Hope Agenda, with his administration set to run its full course until 2031.

“No coalition of confusion can stop what God has ordained,” Bankole said. “The mandate will be renewed by Nigerians, and the APC under Prof. Yilwatda’s leadership will only grow stronger.”

He concluded with prayers for wisdom, strength, and grace for Prof. Yilwatda as he assumes his new responsibilities at the helm of the party.
